Originally recording in San Francisco in the late 80s and 90s, Doug Hream Blunt’s had a later-in-life renaissance as of late, re-releasing his music on David Byrne’s Luaka Bop label, performing in Brooklyn last year at a Pitchfork-sponsored show and showing up in the indie-cum-HBO hit High Maintenance.
As we all prepare for our weekends, here are two original, circa 1990-1992 Doug Hream Blunt music videos: “Ride the Tiger” and “Caribbean Queen,” as well as a recording of “Fly Guy,” the track that appeared in High Maintenance. Find out more at Luaka Bop.
